Writing those DAMNED DARNED emails

Jeez! It can be tough thinking up what to write on a daily basis to one’s email list.

Right?

What can we do to pump out an email or possibly two every day?

We all face this challenge.

What should we write about?

And what will engage the people on our email list?

FIRST THINGS FIRST

Clearly, it helps know what you are trying to do.

If it is promoting an opportunity, then anything that talks about your journey to building an online business and promoting affiliate products could work.

If you have plans to make your own products to sell online, then the emails could relate to the product or theme you are promoting.

BUT WRITING AN EMAIL (OR TWO) EVERY DAY?

It is not easy to come up with ideas to write an email every day.

Let alone the idea of running AM-PM emails, two emails a day.

It’s worth brainstorming and trying to build a long list of things to talk about.

And that list probably will include insight into your own journey online and an insight into your background – including what’s called the “Hero’s Story” – your story of struggle and the beginnings of success.

FIVE DAYS A WEEK?

If you are having a struggle to write every day, maybe aim for 5 days a week – and possible repeat two of the emails every week. That way you only have to come up with fresh material for three days a week.

This could be an option.

OBTAINING OR BUYING SWIPE FILES

One option is to obtain swipe files providing suitable emails.

You will need to customize them.

DAILY ROUTINE

It is good to set up a daily routine of say writing an email for an hour or so everyday, possibly first thing in the morning. Make it a habit. The more you write, the easier it gets.

CHOP AND CHANGE

Maybe mix up the emails as follows:

Run 3 normal emails

Run 2 emails with a link to a video.

Run 1 email to a blog post each week.

GETTING CLEAR ON YOUR BRAND AND OBJECTIVES

It helps to be clear on the image you want to convey and what your objectives are.

What is your story and what image do you want to come across?

Do you have an objective beyond promoting a particular opportunity?

Is there a theme and can you dig into this to convey stories that will help your leads and followers?

LOOK TO SUCCESS STORIES

Check you what successful internet marketers and gurus write in their emails.

Does it make sense to model their approach?

BOTTOM LINE

The bottom line is that successful internet marketers and gurus owe much of their success to effective email marketing.

Their emails set them apart – and attract followers.

And one message that comes across is consistency – writing an email virtually every day.

Check them out – Daegan Smith, Shaqir Hussyin, … and the list goes on.

Daily emails – that’s part of the reason for their success.

Good luck!
